The word is MURAD. Pomegranate facial at urban Retreat [Harvey Nichols]

Hey♥ let me share my experience, Oily T-zone? Dry patches? rosy red cheeks? if like me you suffer from annoying combination skin I may have just found the solution for you!

Having received a voucher to try out one of the facials from urban retreat in Harvey Nichols I wanted to try one that would hopefully change the condition of my skin.

The facial I went with at the end was “Pomegranate Power Pore Cleansing Facial” from the brand Murad, to be honest I had never heard much of the brand previously.

Murad was first established by Dr Howard Murad in the United states, using his expertise in the medical field, In 1989, after years of hearing many patients voicing the same skin care concerns, Dr. Murad released his first skin care products. Murad is categorised under pharmaceutical products meaning unlike other skincare that treat only the surface of the skin Murad actually works deeper within the skin by 20% more, so in theory the effects would last longer in comparisons. This also means that one of these facials a month is all you need.

The Atmosphere was so nice in the room, truly a relaxing afternoon, very comfortable. As soon as you enter the therapy room a scent of sweet lemon grass was sensed, even the bed was self  heated! Brilliant !

Products I used were, 

11)    Energising Pom cleanser Rule 1, always cleanse Twice to remove make up and other impurities that could be lying within the skin, as the first time you are only removing the superficial layer of the skin whereas the second time round is to deep cleanse, at this stage the  products is massaged deeply into the skin in circular motions which stimulate blood supply to the surface layer allowing more products such as moisturiser and serums to be absorbed when used.- This I loved as it’s a dual function product, it acts as a cleanser and a toner !

2)  T-zone pore refining gel – this banishes shin and tightens pores.

3)      Pomegranate exfoliating mask this  itself also holds dual functions of being a exfoliator too, - contains Glycolic acid , something naturally found in oranges, lemons and pomegranates, what this does is help lift away the layer of dead skin cells revealing the younger and more fresh second layer.

At first application it’s totally normal that u feel a slightly ‘tingly sensation’ don’t worry ! Breaaaathe ! it’s normal and just means the mask is reacting within and working into the skin. – This smelt wonderful and was left on for about 15mins before being removed with facials pads.

The Verdict♥

30mins facial done ! touched my skin and was amazed ! skin felt smoother and looked brighter too !

Anyone that suffer from the same/similar conditions as I do, I would recommend trying this out only one treatment per-month is needed and even if I had to pay the original £25 I think it’s quite reasonable.

Lastly I went on to purchase the travel set that they currently have an offer on for £22 reduced from £39, you get all the items used within the facial plus a full size T-zone skin refiner worth £55, such a bargain ! c’mon you do the maths ;)
